Book Qsuites for Under $1,500 or JAL First Class for Just $2,000

British Airways is back with a 40% bonus when you buy Avios, and this one has real potential if you’ve been eyeing aspirational cabins like Qatar Airways Qsuites or Japan Airlines First Class.

Here’s what you need to know — and why this is one of the rare times it can make sense to buy points outright.

  • Offer: 40% bonus on purchased Avios

  • Max purchase: 200,000 Avios (+80,000 bonus = 280,000 total)

  • Cost: $4,599 for 280,000 Avios → 1.64¢ per Avios

  • Deadline: September 17, 2025 at 7:59 p.m. ET

How to Use This for Luxury Flights

Qatar Airways Qsuites (Business Class)

  • Cost: 70,000 Avios + ~$300 in taxes/fees

  • Real Value: Buying the Avios works out to $1,169 in points + $300 in fees when booking with points

  • Cash prices for the same routes? Often $5,000–$10,000.

Japan Airlines First Class

  • Cost: 103,000 Avios + ~$146 in taxes/fees

  • Real Value: $1,855 in points + $146 in fees when booking with points

  • JAL First regularly runs $10K–$15K cash price.

That’s business class to the Middle East or First Class to Tokyo for less than what some people spend on economy.

🔎 How to Find the Deals

Buying Avios only makes sense if you can actually find award space – and that’s where Seats.aero comes in.

Use Seats.aero to search for availability on Qatar Airways and Japan Airlines. This tool shows you real-time award seats without having to search each date manually. Remember: these deals are rare, so to increase your chances consider repositioning to other US or CAD airports!

👉 Inside Cloud9Club, you’ll also find a video tutorial walking through exactly how I use Seats.aero to snag these seats.

Pro Tip: Award space on JAL First is extremely limited (often just one seat per flight), so flexibility is key. Qsuites 70k availability tends to be better, but the best dates still go fast.

Buying Avios isn’t always a slam dunk – but this is one of the  times it makes sense:

  • You already see award space for Qsuites or JAL First. (Check before buying!)

  • You’re willing to lock in sub-$2,000 luxury flights that normally cost $8K+.

  • You understand Avios are flexible (transferable between BA, Qatar, Iberia, and Aer Lingus). For JAL first class you can book directly on BA, so QSuites, you'll want to transfer them to Qatar.

If you’re just stockpiling Avios with no trip in mind, skip it. But if you’ve been waiting for that bucket-list redemption? This is your moment.
